What is Alpha?

Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the basics of the Christian faith in relaxed non-threatening surroundings.

It is low-key, friendly & fun.

Alpha is supported by all the main Christian denominations of the church (CofE,Catholic, etc.).

There are Alpha courses running all over the world.  Over 128,000 people each week in the UK are doing Alpha.

Why not take this opportunity to explore it?

 

Who is it for?

Alpha in the Conservatory is run by Andy & Anita Middleton on behalf of the Community Church.  This course is specifically for those who want to investigate the Christian faith from an onlookers point of view.

Some want to investigate whether God exists and if there is any point to life; others are concerned about what happens after death.  Still others may have attended church all their lives, but never really understood what it is all about.

People from many different backgrounds, holding different viewpoints, attend for many different reasons.  Whatever the reason, they all come with the same objective - to establish whether Jesus Christ has any relevance in their lives.

How much will it cost?

There is no charge, the course is funded by the Community Church.

How long?

The course runs for twelve weeks (Sunday evenings) from 7.00pm - 9.30pm and includes a free two course meal.
