Women at Risk
Our links with Ethiopia started about twenty years ago and we have had regular contact with our friends over there ever since. One such friend, Cherry, started the Women at Risk (WaR) project in 1996. This project reaches out to girls stuck in prostitution, (recent data shows that 10% of women in Ethiopia are in some sort of prostitution!). Since WaR started they have had 176 girls through the programme, with a good majority of them also getting to know Jesus. It is a twelve month programme, combining structered counselling, medical services, skills and business training and general support. As a church we support WaR financially and in other ways, helping them to continue the vital work that they do.

At the moment Jane is here in the UK, taking some time to seek God about the next stage of her journey in Ethiopia. When she knows we will post more information here.
Please pray that she has wisdom from God about her future with Him and with Ethiopia.
